If you wanna open Microsoft Word 2007 document files [docx file extensions] but you do not have Microsoft Office 2007 installed in your system, or you only have Microsoft Office 2003 or other previous version, here is the trick that you do not have to install Microsoft Office 2007 :
for example you wanna open it in Office 2003
open Windows Explorer or My Computer,
klik menu Tools=>Folder Options=>View Tab=>un-thick do not show file type extensions
klik Apply
go to your MS Word 2007 document files [docx file extenxion], pick one that you wanna open it,
rename the file which file extenxion appeared as docx, so you just change it to doc [delete x letter in the file extension]
that's it...you can open the file in MS Word 2003 or in other previous version...
